Packing for a Trip to Palawan

If you’re an experienced traveler, packing may just be a cinch for you; but just to make sure that you have everything you need for a trip to Palawan, here are a few tips and notes that you just might need.

Palawan, like the whole of the Philippines is surrounded by different bodies of water; there are waterfalls, oceans, rivers, and springs. Beaches are not normally covered in vegetation, especially if you are staying in a resort. For other places though, bring along your best insect repellant as bugs and other biting insects abound. You also might want to bring a small antibiotic ointment, just in case you get scraped.

This area of the Philippines can get quite humid, and although typhoons rarely come in, the monsoon greatly affects the weather here. Pack lightly – light-colored tops and bottoms and sandals that are sturdy should be enough. Although shorts and t-shirts would be the best bets, tuck a couple of cottony pants and long-sleeved cotton shirts if your skin is extra-sensitive. Don’t forget the swimwear and the sun block!

You’ll find that there are a lot of activities for you to do in Palawan; for more information and for packages, Amika Travel and Tours can hook you up with the best deals.
