Planning a trip to Palawan is indeed fun and exciting but, you have to be prepared. Make sure to bring all the things that you need to bring. To help you with the essential things, here are some tips as to what to bring in Palawan.
Just like in any vacation, the first that you should bring are clothes. Since Palawan is filled with beaches, make sure to bring clothes that are appropriate for the beach. As much as possible bring more than two beach attires because for sure you will have lots of beaches to conquer in Palawan. Shirts, tops and shorts are ideal for the hot climate. You can also bring one jacket for the cold summer breeze at night. Remember that the most important thing is that you bring clothes that you are comfortable to wear.
Palawan will essentially be your greatest beach adventure. It is strongly recommended bringing your own snorkeling gear for your Palawan getaway. There are lots of wonders underneath the sea and the best way to appreciate them is through snorkeling. Even if you buy a new one, I assure you that your snorkels will be worth its price because you can find the best fishes, corals, and reefs in Palawan. There are snorkeling gears that range from Php 600 – Php 3,000. If you are short on budget, then the cheaper ones will do but if you like to invest on your gear then you should buy the more expensive ones that will be more durable.
Going to the beach will definitely expose you to the summer heat. Remember to bring sufficient sun block for UV protection. Sun block with at least SPF 30 is needed to make sure that your skin is protected. Remember to bring your sun block all the time because reapplying it after 2-3 hours is needed to keep you protected. You can also bring other accessories that will protect you from the sun such as hats and sunglasses.
You should also have appropriate footwear when swimming in the beach. There are lots of reefs and rocks that can be sharp underneath the water. The best footwear would be aqua shoes or booties because these can protect the soles of your feet from sharp rocks or reefs in the beach. Slippers are not advised because it can easily be carried away by the waves in the sea. If you plan to go snorkeling, you can also use fins to help you swim.
Last but not the least; do not forget to bring your camera. It will be a memorable experience and the best way to remember it is to capture the moments. It would be best if you have an underwater camera because most of your adventures includes water. But if you do not have one, you can always buy an underwater casing for your camera. There are also disposable underwater cameras that are a lot cheaper than buying a new camera. Once you see the underwater marine life, you will be more than glad to have your underwater camera with you!
